Within National Oil Corporation initiative to honor the top students in Libya for the academic year 2013/2014, the top students of basic and secondary education in the Eastern region of all specializations were honored this morning Saturday 21/3/2015 at Omar Almokhtar University. NOC congratulates all top students for this distinguished success wishing them all success and progress in their future education.
The NOC Board of directors confirms that the NOC’s position is neutral and receives No directives from either the Tripoli or Baida based Governments and operates in complete independence from both sets of authorities.
The NOC, in previous announcements, publically declared and reaffirmed that Ras Lanuf and Es-Sider Terminals are implementing force majeure provisions due to the deteriorating security and escalating violence in the immediate areas surrounding both terminals. The NOC strongly emphasises that it will take all appropriate legal measures and judicial action against any unlawful attempts (directly or indirectly) by state agencies, companies, affiliates, organisations, individuals in-country or abroad or any such persons who attempt to operate outside the existing NOC legal, financial, commercial or service frameworks and contracts.
With reference to news which spread lately through some international press agencies and some social network pages, in which it was stated that the Libyan oil is being smuggled into international markets beyond Libya’s legitimate authorities, NOC would like to ensure that no incidents of such smuggling have been registered,
